UEE AND YOU: MAKE A UEE FROM YOUR POWER COMPANY

Urban Eco Electric Solar DiagramHow UEE Works - We believe clean solar energy should be affordable. That's why we created our Solar Equipment Lease as a way for homeowners to economically capture clean energy from the sun without paying the expensive upfront costs. UEE’s corporate mission is to deliver as many solar installations as possible to our Philadelphia customers who otherwise would not be able to afford the initial capital investment or effectively utilize the tax benefit.

Here is How We Use Solar Together - No Initial Up Front Payment! In Fact We Pay You!
With UEE you can now afford to go solar without the high upfront cost.

• First UEE pays you an Up Front signing bonus of $250 at the time we have completed the installation.
• Next UEE looks at your average electric bill for the last 12 months and that is your monthly payment for the next 20 years without any increases – ever.
• Then for the first 2 years UEE reduces that amount by half with typical savings of over $1,000 and future savings of more than $10,000 over the Lease term.

Save on Your Monthly Energy Bills!

Not only that, but this savings can grow over time as utility rates continue to increase. That's because utility rates have historically increased over 5% every year. With UEE, you will lock in lower electricity rates for the term of your lease.

UEE Example For a Typical Home - For a home with a monthly electricity bill of $60-100 we would recommend installing a 4.0 kW size system.

This system will generate enough electricity to offset what you are currently paying to the utility company. Your monthly Lease payment for the first 2 years would be half of that same $60-100, so you could actually save $30-50 per month from day one.

Also, Pennsylvania is facing big increases as the Electric Rate Caps expire in January of 2011, and with UEE these rate caps will not apply to you! Because you will be using UEE’s Solar Panels to generate your own Electricity. Electric Rates could double over the lease term and with UEE you would still be paying the same $60-100 as you are paying now.

Smart Financial Investment - UEE allows our customers to benefit from all of the solar incentives that they would otherwise not be able to use. Only investors in the highest tax brackets can use the tax credits efficiently otherwise you may have to wait up to 8 years before getting the money which certainly would not be available to pay for the upfront system costs.

Free Repair Service - If your solar system is in need of repair, we will send a UEE crew to fix it for free over the life of the lease. This includes replacing worn out parts such as the inverter. The good news is that solar panels typically last up to 30 years or longer, and have few, if any moving parts. So once they are installed, they require little ongoing maintenance.

System Monitoring Ensures Optimal Performance - With UEE, your system will be continuously monitored using our state-of-the-art monitoring system. In the unlikely event your system's performance starts to dip, we will know it right away. We will give you a call to schedule a technician to come to your home for a free repair for the life of your Lease!

We Guarantee the System Performance or We Will Pay You Back - We're so confident with our system installation and design that we guarantee your system will perform as promised or UEE will pay the difference!

Flexibility to Upgrade the System Later - When your Lease ends, the power is still in your hands. You can upgrade to a new system with the latest solar technology. You can also extend your lease, or simply have the panels removed for free.

If you sell your home before the end of the lease, you can transfer the lease to the new owners if they qualify with excellent credit—or you can prepay the lease and add it to your asking price. A solar energy system is a financially-attractive and differentiating feature for home buyers—and may help your home stand out against others. If you should ever decide to place your home on the market, the solar system can be a distinct asset.

To Qualify with UEE, You Will Need to Have Excellent Credit. - At the moment UEE is only available in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
